# Abhinaw Gupta

> Front-end developer at Alvera.ai. Builds fast, accessible interfaces for the web; came to it from tinkering with electronics and microcontrollers.

Front-end developer

I build the first thing people see. Anyone can ship a UI now. Fewer people can tell you why it works.

## About

I build the first thing anyone meets on the web: a screen, and about a second to make sense of it. I want to be very good at that second.

Most of my work is the front of things. Interfaces that load fast, stay out of the way, and make information easy to reach.

When a build needs it, I go the rest of the way down the stack — APIs, data, the server work behind the interface. It isn't where I live, but I can ship the whole thing when I have to.

I came to the browser from electronics and microcontrollers, where I learned to treat constraints as design material, not a problem to fix later.

## Selected work

### P-01 · This website

Agent-first portfolio. Static Astro build; every page ships a Markdown twin, llms.txt, and JSON-LD so machines read the same source humans do.

- Stack: Astro, TypeScript, Cloudflare
- Status: Live

### P-02 · Reserved

Something of my own, still in the workshop. It shows up here when it's worth defending, not before.

- Stack: Soon
- Status: In build

### P-03 · Reserved

Client work I can't show, being rebuilt into something I can. Also in progress.

- Stack: Soon
- Status: In build

## Experience

| Rev | Role | Org | Dates | Note |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| REV 3.2 | Internal app tooling | Alvera.ai | '25 → Now | Wrote the internal tooling and process so a developer can go from a client brief to a working custom app in close to one pass. Demos used to be a project. Now they're a Tuesday. |
| REV 3.1 | Client CMS platform | Alvera.ai | '25 | Built the platform that lets clients manage their own content and see it live, without waiting on a developer. The engineering was the easy half. The hard half was deciding how much control to hand over, because every extra knob is something to maintain and I was the only one maintaining it. Most of the work was finding that line and rewriting the schema until it held. It kept the client. |
| REV 3.0 | Static-first site rebuild | Alvera.ai | '24 | The old setup fought us on everything: custom design, animation, letting anyone edit content. I made the case for moving to a static-first stack and led it. Sites got faster, cheaper to run, and far easier to bend to whatever a client asked for next. They've been quiet since, which is the highest compliment a website gets. |
| REV 2 | Goals-based investing app | Freelance | Apr '24 → Aug '24 | A mobile-first proof of concept for a goals-based investing app, built for someone pitching a new vertical to his company's senior VPs. So it had to work, and it had to be convincing in a room. I built the front end alone on top of a backend another developer had written and left, which meant reading someone else's code carefully enough to change it without breaking it. Shipped, presented, well received. |
| REV 1 | B.E., Electronics & Telecommunication | Army Institute of Technology, Pune | Jul '20 → Jun '24 | Four years of circuits and signals. Useful in ways I didn't expect. |

## FAQ

### What does Abhinaw Gupta do?

He is a front-end developer at Alvera.ai. He builds the interfaces people use and a good deal of the logic behind them, focused on speed, accessibility, and getting information across clearly.

### What is his tech stack?

React, React Router, Astro, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS on the front end; Cloudflare Workers, D1, R2, and KV for infrastructure; Node.js and FastAPI on the backend. He also worked in embedded C on ESP32 and ESP8266 microcontrollers.

### What has he built?

At Alvera.ai he led the rebuild of how the company's client sites are made, moving them to a static-first stack that is faster, cheaper to run, and easier to customize. He then built the platform that lets those clients manage their own content without a developer, and wrote the internal tooling that scaffolds a new custom client app in close to one pass.

### What is his background?

He holds a B.E. in Electronics and Telecommunication from Army Institute of Technology, Pune. He came to front-end development after tinkering with electronics, microcontrollers, and embedded systems, which shaped how he thinks about performance and constraints.

### Is he available for work?

Yes. He is open to front-end roles and new work. Email is the fastest way to reach him: abhinawgupta@proton.me.

### How do I contact him?

Email abhinawgupta@proton.me. He is also on GitHub (@noob504) and LinkedIn (/in/abhinawgupta).
